  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Tableau products and continuously enhance technical skills to assist global customers with their issues. This includes debugging, troubleshooting, and ensuring complete resolution of issues, including escalations.
  • Consistently meet KPI targets such as Productivity, CSAT, and TTR.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers regarding their Tableau products and infrastructure, aiming for high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with various teams, including TAMs, Sales, Ops Admins, and Development at Tableau, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Identify areas for improvement in documentation and processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in assigned product areas to assist customers effectively.
  • Review support cases for technical accuracy and quality of troubleshooting.
  • Reproduce customer issues in-house and provide solutions and root cause analyses within specified timeframes.
  • Use communication channels such as email, phone calls, and other electronic methods to interact effectively with customers.

Role Scope: Salesforce Recruitment 2024

The Technical Support Engineer works primarily with enterprise customers of Tableau’s products, proactively assisting them with post‐sales setup and usage. Responsibilities include working with the Support team to triage and resolve highly complex, technical, and application‐related issues that affect product performance in customer-specific environments or hinder broader adoption of Tableau products. In addition to customer interactions, the Technical Support Engineer will frequently collaborate with our Development, Sustaining Engineering, and Sales teams to resolve support issues, document bugs, perform UAT on product builds, and ensure successful server installations and upgrades.

We operate 24×7, which may involve working during one of the following shifts (subject to change and not rotational):

  • AMER hours (Eastern Standard Time – 5:30 PM/6:30 PM IST or Pacific Standard Time – 9:00 PM/10:00 PM IST onwards, depending on Daylight Savings Time)
  • EMEA hours – 12:00 PM/1:00 PM/2:00 PM IST onwards, depending on Daylight Savings Time
  • APAC hours – 5:30 AM IST onwards
