Job Title: Database Intern

Opportunity Overview: XaCtly Hiring Freshers

As a Database Intern at Xactly Corporation, your responsibilities will encompass the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both relational and non-relational databases, along with the management of our all-flash storage infrastructure supporting these databases. This role involves the day-to-day management and support of multiple production, staging, and development environments. Working as part of the Operations team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining Xactly’s infrastructure, collaborating closely with the Support, Development, and Quality Engineering (QE) teams to diagnose and resolve database, application, and performance-related issues.

The Skill Set: XaCtly Hiring Freshers

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or related field.
  • 0-1 year of professional experience as an Oracle DBA with a strong academic record OR recent graduates with excellent academic records and completion of professional courses/certifications in Oracle DBA.
  • Strong analytical and learning abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
  • Adaptability in a constantly changing environment.
  • Collaborative team player willing to assist peers.

Responsibilities Timeline:

Within One Month: XaCtly Hiring Freshers

  • Familiarize yourself with our Database and Application architecture.
  • Get involved in our monthly release cycle for our application and infrastructure.

Within Three Months:

  • Become proficient in providing Business As Usual (BAU) support and participate in on-call rotations for our production environments.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of various relational and non-relational databases and applications used at Xactly.

Within Six Months:

  • Lead database team projects and proof of concepts (POCs) on Xactly’s on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, optimizing and automating regular operations.

Within Twelve Months:

  • Take charge of database-related projects with cross-functional teams and play a role in strategic planning, development, and implementation of new initiatives driving company growth.
