Roles and Responsibilities
Role
- This role assumes a leadership position in delivering advanced claims adjudication services, typically within an Operations team.
- Claims adjudicators primarily evaluate, verify, modify, handle, and settle claims in accordance with customer specifications, following the guidelines and policies of Highmark.
- The primary responsibility of Claims Adjudicators is to offer overall assistance in meeting customer demands by ensuring timely claims processing, adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and achieving performance and quality benchmarks set by customers.
- They may also provide guidance and support to team members with less experience.
Responsibilities
- Engage in the analysis, validation, updating, and processing of claims, while ensuring adherence to defined scope, targets, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to comprehend business requirements that drive innovation and quality. Focus on delivering innovative solutions to address more intricate business needs.
- Offer necessary support to newly onboarded team members once they have acquired experience.
- Carry out tasks in compliance with all standards, policies, and procedures of Highmark and Highmark IT.
- Effectively communicate with team members, customers, partners, and management, including assisting with or conducting comprehensive reviews, reporting on production and quality status.
- Perform other assigned or requested duties.
Experience Requirements:
Required - Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in analytical thinking and interpersonal skills.
